The Indian Sign Language Community (ISLC) is dedicated to enhancing both accessibility and awareness with regards to ISL across demographics including young learners and caregivers. The project’s primary goal is making ISL more widespread via the creation of innovative and original educational resources like a guide that educates individuals on the use of the language.
Moreover, ISLC also emphasizes the importance of training, especially for those working at care centers with stroke patients and other speech-impaired individuals. To aid with the same, the initiative will conduct guiding workshops so as to improve caregiver communication skills and thereby better their daily interactions.
Beyond such direct interventions, the ISLC looks forward to partnering with experts from within the field via insightful interviews promoting awareness and advocacy while also raising funds to support the on-going efforts of its partner organization to expand and enhance support.
